PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Thank you to all of the parents who joined us at Back to School Night.  It was wonderful to share our excitement with you, as we welcome in a new school year.   Last school year Vista Del Valle Dual Language Academy’s students improved their achievement on the state’s computer-based test in both ELA and Math.

In the classrooms we are helping students safely navigate the complex world of online information.  This school year our 3rd grade students will receive coding instruction on a weekly basis, and all students will be taught to be smart digital citizens.  At Vista Del Valle we use technology to help individualize and advance learning.  We help students apply classroom lessons to the real world showing them that both academic content and skills like communication, creativity and problem-solving are important to their future.

We are lucky to have a great group of well-prepared, high-quality teachers that help all of our students achieve.  Together we all work to create a safe, supportive and welcoming learning community where all students are treated fairly.  We need families and the community to help our students come to school happy, healthy and ready to learn.  With your help and support our students will continue to soar.

 Mary Mendoza, Principal
